Terms of Use

Effective 10 October 2026 · apply to all Owlbright apps and games and to owlbrightstudio.com

These terms are an agreement between you and Hitam Legam, publishing as Owlbright ("we", "us"). By downloading or using an Owlbright app or game, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use our apps.

1. Who may use our apps

Our games are made for players aged 13 and over. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use our apps with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms for you.

2. Licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use our apps on Android devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, sell, rent or distribute our apps, reverse engineer them except where the law allows it, or use them to break any law.

3. Free versions and advertising

The free versions of our apps are funded by ads shown through Google AdMob. We place ads so that they do not interrupt play, as described on each app's page. Ads are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or for products they offer.

4. Pro and other in-app purchases

Purchases are made through Google Play and are subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Prices are shown in Google Play before you buy and may vary by country.
Pro in our games is a one-time purchase that unlocks the features listed in the app for as long as the app is available. It is linked to your Google account and can be restored on another device with the same account under Settings > Restore purchase.
If an app offers a subscription, it renews automatically until you cancel it in Google Play; the price and period are shown before you subscribe.
Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy. If Google Play cannot help, write to support@owlbrightstudio.com and we will review your request.
Free time-limited Pro access earned by watching ads ends at the time shown in the app.

5. Content and accuracy

We work to keep facts in our games, such as country names, capitals and flags, correct and up to date, using open sources such as Wikidata. Borders, names and status can be disputed or change over time; our games are learning tools and not an official or political statement. If you find a mistake, please tell us at support@owlbrightstudio.com.

6. Updates and availability

We may update our apps to fix problems, add or change features, or meet store rules. We may stop offering an app in the future; the app will keep working on your device as far as technically possible, and features you bought will stay available in the installed app.

7. Intellectual property

Our apps, their names, designs, artwork, sounds and code belong to us or our licensors. Third-party materials are used under their licences, such as the flag-icons project (MIT licence), Wikidata (CC0) and the Fredoka and Nunito fonts (SIL Open Font License).

8. Privacy

How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy and in each app's own privacy policy.

9. Disclaimer

Our apps are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that they are free of errors or always available. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data such as game progress stored on your device. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app or purchase concerned in the 12 months before the claim. We remain liable without limit for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body or health, and wherever the law does not allow a limitation.

11. Ending use

You can stop using our apps at any time by uninstalling them. We may end your licence if you seriously break these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms when our apps or the law change. We publish the new version on this page with a new effective date. Changes do not apply to purchases made before them where that would be to your disadvantage.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If you are a consumer in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you may bring a claim in the courts of your country. Please contact us first at support@owlbrightstudio.com; most questions can be solved quickly.

Diese Bedingungen sind eine Vereinbarung zwischen dir und Hitam Legam, veröffentlicht als Owlbright ("wir"). Mit dem Herunterladen oder Nutzen einer App von Owlbright stimmst du ihnen zu.

1. Nutzung

Unsere Spiele richten sich an Spieler ab 13 Jahren. Bist du minderjährig, nutze unsere Apps mit Erlaubnis deiner Eltern oder Erziehungsberechtigten.

2. Lizenz

Wir gewähren dir eine persönliche, nicht ausschließliche, nicht übertragbare und widerrufliche Lizenz, unsere Apps auf deinen Android-Geräten für private, nicht kommerzielle Zwecke zu nutzen. Kopieren, Verändern, Verkaufen, Vermieten oder Verbreiten ist nicht erlaubt, Rückentwicklung nur, soweit das Gesetz sie gestattet.

3. Kostenlose Versionen und Werbung

Die kostenlosen Versionen finanzieren sich durch Anzeigen über Google AdMob. Für Inhalte und Angebote Dritter in Anzeigen sind wir nicht verantwortlich.

4. Pro und andere In-App-Käufe

Käufe erfolgen über Google Play und unterliegen den Nutzungsbedingungen von Google Play. Preise werden vor dem Kauf in Google Play angezeigt und können je nach Land abweichen.
Pro in unseren Spielen ist ein Einmalkauf, der die in der App genannten Funktionen freischaltet, solange die App verfügbar ist. Er ist an dein Google-Konto gebunden und lässt sich unter Einstellungen > Kauf wiederherstellen auf einem anderen Gerät mit demselben Konto wiederherstellen.
Bietet eine App ein Abo an, verlängert es sich automatisch, bis du es in Google Play kündigst; Preis und Laufzeit werden vor dem Abschluss angezeigt.
Erstattungen wickelt Google Play nach seinen Richtlinien ab. Kann Google Play nicht helfen, schreib an support@owlbrightstudio.com.
Durch Werbevideos freigeschalteter, zeitlich begrenzter Pro-Zugang endet zu dem in der App angezeigten Zeitpunkt.

5. Inhalte

Wir halten Fakten wie Ländernamen, Hauptstädte und Flaggen mit offenen Quellen wie Wikidata aktuell. Grenzen, Namen und Status können umstritten sein oder sich ändern; unsere Spiele sind Lernspiele und keine amtliche oder politische Aussage. Fehler meldest du bitte an support@owlbrightstudio.com.

6. Updates und Verfügbarkeit

Wir können Apps aktualisieren oder künftig nicht mehr anbieten. Gekaufte Funktionen bleiben in der installierten App verfügbar, soweit technisch möglich.

7. Haftung

Die Apps werden ohne Gewähr bereitgestellt, soweit gesetzlich zulässig. Wir haften unbeschränkt bei Vorsatz, grober Fahrlässigkeit und für Schäden aus der Verletzung von Leben, Körper oder Gesundheit sowie nach zwingenden gesetzlichen Vorschriften. Im Übrigen ist unsere Haftung auf den Betrag begrenzt, den du in den 12 Monaten vor dem Anspruch für die betroffene App oder den betroffenen Kauf an uns gezahlt hast. Deine gesetzlichen Verbraucherrechte bleiben unberührt.

8. Recht und Streitigkeiten

Es gilt das Recht der Republik Indonesien. Als Verbraucher behältst du den Schutz der zwingenden Vorschriften des Landes, in dem du lebst, und kannst vor den Gerichten deines Landes klagen. Wir nehmen nicht an Streitbeilegungsverfahren vor einer Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle teil.
